TOC Information
Hello Angels,
On May 28th, 2008 at 6pm, I picked the # 2 spot and waited to see who we play. We will be starting off with the 2nd place Legacy Team, This is either going to be the Legacy Pirates, or the Legacy Redsox depending on who wins their tournament. So lets be ready to play hard.
Our games will start Friday May 30th at 5:15pm. Players need to arrive at 4:45pm at Silverado Ranch Park off Gillispie and Silverado Ranch Rd. If we win 3 straight we will win the TOC. We have a great shot as long as we play hard and get the work done that is needed.
Also players need to wear either new white pants or stain free white pants along with there practice Jersey's. All players need to bring their normal game jersey also, just in case we can wear them.

Plans for the rest of the season
Hey Angels Gang,
I wanted to let all of you know the coaches plans for the rest of the season. Since we have clinched the season for GVLL we have taken it a bit easier on the boys and have tried to put them in a more relaxed tune up mode. Of course we as coaches wanted to finish up the season strong and are plan is to go undefeated within GVLL so since we have taken care of the Tigers, we need to now go after the Indians hard. We can go 10-0, 11-0 including opening day against other Green Valley teams and this will be a goal of ours.
With this being said our last game against the Legacy Angels will be our fun game. All Subs will play the entire game and starting players will sub in an out. Our Pitchers for the game will be Frankie, Isaac, Ricky, and if they get into trouble we will go to something regular. Infielders will play outfield, outfielders will play infield and we will see who will play catcher. Win our Lose this is to get our supportive players more play time before TOC, when subs get very few innings. This our thank you to the supportive work the regular subs have done over the entire year while they were breaking into their first year into the Majors.
Ok, Angels lets kick some tail against the Indians and have a blast against the Angels. See you there.

Thank you Players and Parents
Hello Angels Crew,
I just wanted to thank all the players and parents for a wonderful regular season. It has been and abousolute pleasure working with all or you and your kids. This year I can truly say that their was not one major issue on or off the field we could not resolve. This being the first year ever that I have coached that I had the perfect players and parents. Thank you to all of you for making my last year as a Little League coach the most pleasurable year I have ever had. I will take many great memories with me and I hope all of you will too.
I believe Coach Max and I built a solid team over the years and even though we paid for taking a great amount of young players last year, it paid off for us this year. I would also like to thank all of the first year major players that worked very hard for the spots and roles that they fielded during the season. Your dedication and efforts made all of this worth wild. I do believe even though we started with what we thought was a talented team, even improved even more during the season.
Going into the TOC we will be working even harder, but I did want to say thank you to all the player and parents before we go into TOC to let them know that we really have a great shot at winning it all. If we don't, know that us coaches will be extremly proud of them because we know they will be giving their best efforts when they are in the games we play.
Thank you to all and this year we will be having an awesome team party. We have some ideas that will be fun and enjoyable for the kids and this year we will celebrate the year that they have played.
See you on the field, and please sign the guestbook so we can hear all the hopefully great comments all of you have had on this season.

Winning Pants
Hello Angels,
Just a little reminder that if we win in a pair a pants we stay in the pair of pants. Latley we have been winning in white so we will try and keep the streek going in white and if we happen to not pull one out we will switch to gray and see how we go from there. Great season so far we are in first place by 3 games within the GVLL, the next closest team has only 2 wins. Great job GV Angels, see you on the field.

GVLL Angels v. GVLL Tigers
The Angels had and impressive win over the Tigers on Monday. With Dakota Grijalva starting on the mound and getting the shutout win. Willie Jumper came in to finish it up. Angels only gave up 3 hits and played a solid defensive game. On offense Eric Williams lead the way with two bombs over the fence with the second shot bouncing just shy of Santiago ave. Dakota Grijalva found his way around the bases with and inside the park homerun and Willie Jumper running the bases strong. The Angels finished 45 min early with a 10-0 route, and the game went so quick the players still wanted to play. Great baseball Angels keep up the good work, that is two in a row with the Legacy Angels coming up on Thursday. See you there.

GV Major Angels v. Legacy Redsox
Congrats to the GVLL Angels for winning a tough fought Game.
The Green Valley Angels came up to the Arroyo Grande Sports complex with loads of confidence coming off spring break and a 6-4 win over the GV Dodgers. With Dakota Grijalva starting on the mound and top 4 hitters Willie Jumper, Jacob Iwanylo, and Isaac Perez and Eric Williams tied for fouth, it seemed like they were up to the challange. The Legacy Redsox had previously beaten this team last year twice in the regular season, but that ended this beautiful Saturday morning. With the game starting a bit rough the Redsox hit a 1 run homerun off Grijalva. After the nerves had settled, the Angels shutdown the redsox the rest of the game only giving up 2 earned runs and 1 unearned run. When the Angels came to bat Jacob Iwanylo started the hitting fest with his 1st of 2 hits going 2/3 in the game and hits from Eric Williams, Issac Peres. In the late innings it was very exciting with the Angels going up 3-2 in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Angels had shutdownt he Redsox except a second 1 run homerun in the fourth. When the Redsox came up, they earned 1 more run to tie up the ballgame. With great defensive plays by Jacob Iwanylo and Dakota Grijalva the Angels came up to bat. The Angels were in the bottom of the lineup and Ethan Hunt came to bat and hit a single, then Garrett Durbin came up and hit a single. With the Angels on first and second John Mondi came to bat. When at bat there was one pass ball advancing the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Coach Todd then decided to put some speed on the bag and Leseaon McCalister came to 3rd to pinch run for Ethan Hunt. With John Mondi at the plate with a 2-2 count in the bottom of the sixth with no outs, John hits a short dribbler to the right side and the Redsox went to field the ball, McCalister on his horse to the plate slides into home the Redsox pitcher throws home, only to throw it high and to the right and McCalister scores the winning run. The Parents, players, and coaches were all very excited to win this game. This made the Angels the first Green Valley team to defeat the strong legacy teams this year. Coach Todd after the game rewarded two game balls, one to Eric Williams for blasting a homerun, which we still haven't seen come down and a second to John Mondi for hitting the game winning hit. Great Job Angels, see you next game.

Dugout Attitude and Team Cohesiveness
Hello Angels,
This is a reminder to all players that we work, play, win, and lose as a team. No matter what your age, talent level, or experiance all players are expected to have a positive ready to go attitude in the dugout and on the field. There will be no room for messing around in the dugout. All players are expected to pay attention to the game. This is Majors and it is a privlage to play on this level and for the older players it is their last year to make an impact in little league.
Negative attitudes can truly effect the teams cohesiveness and hurt overall moral. All players are expected to honor and respect the Dugout Authority, whether it be a coach or parent. I will always look at both sides and make a determination that is fair and equal, but I will not deal with the same players over and over. If it becomes a pattern with any player a disiplinary course of action will be taken, including less play time, no play time, or removal of player. All players can see how this can effect the team. So please be on your best behavior and be ready to play.
Thank you and lets have a great season.
Coach Todd
