The Fun For All Playground is an accessible playground that will be built at the new Warrenton Sports Complex. This playground will help all children with their physical, social and psychological development in an inclusive environment. The goal is to create a park where all children, regardless of their cognitive and physical abilities, can come together and have fun!
Special Features:
- Rubberized surface (wheel chairs / walkers)
- Accessible parking / sidewalks
- Barrier free ramp system which will allow a child in a wheel chair to reach the highest points
- Bright colors to help children with limited eyesight
- Different textures to stimulate sensory development
- Bells, whistles, chimes to teach cause and effect
- Quiet nooks and crannies to allow children to escape sensory overload
- Swings and spring toys with back supports
- Low monkey bars
- Extra railings and hand holds
- Playground equipment is carefully selected and laid out in configurations that are fun, rigorous and challenging for children of all abilities
