Dorchester Eagles: 2007 Season
Greetings from our Board of DirectorsOur organization has had another successful year.
As with transition, many things change and some remain the same; it gives us great pleasure to realize our potential and continue to move forward, with the same goal; making our children great leaders, both on and off the field.
Being held accountable for your actions is difficult; yet, we feel that by fostering it now; we are building the leaders of tomorrow. Teamwork, determination, and a thirst for knowledge are essential tools that once developed, can only last a lifetime. And since our organization is an extension of their family, it is easy for them to understand that we believe in their abilities.
As we strive to be even more consistent with what we do, teaching the art of cheerleading and football with continuous guidance and understanding of each child. Our main purpose is to provide children with an opportunity to differentiate themselves from the negative aspects of their surroundings.
Our Mitey-Mite Squad is Unity Bowl Champions.
Our Midget, Pee Wee, Jr. Pee Wee, and Tiny Mite Squads had a great season too.
Unbelievable; but they did it! They fought hard and believed in each other, their coaches, and their fans. And it is with great pleasure that we congratulate them on a successful season. As we watched you spread your wings and fly so much can be said about your accomplishments on the field; however, your building of character and desire to set an example for others to follow, should be commended by all. Being the best you can be is never easy, but your determination is why the Dorchester Eagles is bigger, better and stronger.
To our Coaches, your work speaks for itself. What a great team we have everyone working together to change the way our boys and girls think of each other and their abilities. It is not easy to volunteer so much time and energy, but you did it, because you too, BELIEVE. All of you have withstood the many challenges and our children love all of you unconditionally. Thank you for your loyalty to the program and its children.
To our parents, sponsors, and fans, thank you. From the sun, to the rain, to the cold, you have been there. We appreciate your continued support and it has provided us and the children with the additional strength we have needed during the season. When it seemed hard, you always reminded us of what was important...being an EAGLE and our motto; not afraid to fail...believing we can succeed.
It gives us great pride to witness the growth we had this year; but it will also provide concrete evidence for us to remain focus on what is truly needed in our community; commitment to our youth and an understanding that with obstacles, goals can still be attainable.
Congratulations Eagle Family, you have done well; your beliefs in each other are monumental, and remember that the only person that can stop you is you. We love you! As we look forward to 2008, please give yourself a hug and remember that without you, there would not be an EAGLE FAMILY.
