Jerry Horgan is seeing the futrure.
I am elated. The Phillies took the NLCS and will go on to the final four and will play the Dodgers starting on Thursday. Jimmy Rollins leads off with a home run. Pat Burrell came up big with two home runs and he also had a inside out single and hit the ball down the first baseline that would have been a double for any other player. Blanton gave up a Home Run to Prince Fielder in the 7th innning as he hit a hit 450 foot home run. It didn't matter. I knew the Phillies were gonna win the game. Phillies will now have the Home Field advantage in the next round. I am the luckiest man on the face of the earth. The Phillies will go all the way. I want to march down Broad Street when the Phillies win the World Series. I want the Phillies to play the Red Sox. I want Phillies to be losing by 3 to teh Red Sox and have Coast hit a Grand Slam off Johnathan Papelbon in the top of the ninth inning over the green monster at Fenway. Then, Brad Lidge comes in and retires the Red Sox as he strikes out Kevin Youkalis on three pitches to save the game and clinch the series. October 21st, 1980 when Tug McGraw strike out Willie Wilson at 11:29 PM at the Vet to Win the World Series. The bases were loaded with a 4-1 lead with 2 outs. Tug strike him out swinging. That was the happiest day of my life. Todays game, this is one of the happiest days of my life. Hopefully there will be more great days to come.

.500, Are You Kidding Me?
A pretty good season for Mike Walls is an understatement. Mike has been on fire since the beginning of the season when he started off at a 1 for 10 stint. That went away pretty quick. Mike continued throughout the season to drop duck farts, missles, gay'zers and bombs on route to finishing the season with an incredible batting average of exactly .500. What a great season for an unassuming player that quietly ended a great season being 200 points above good.
The all-Time Regular Season Batting Average goes to Ralph Conrad who hit .579 for Parkway in 1962.

Last Friday a Record was Set For Most Hits In A Game Between Two Teams
Bucco's and Hy-Point met last week at Rockford Park and had a marathon of hits. So many hits, that it is a new record for "Most Hits in A Game Between Two Teams". 34 hits were compiled between the two teams last Friday. Bucco's had 12 hits and Hy-Point had 22. The previous record was held by two teams. In 1966, Parkway beat Canada Dry 26-6 and 32 hits were banged out in this game. C. Wallace Insurance and Canada Dry also had 32 hits in 1993 in a single game.
Most Hits by a Team in a single game is 26 by Parkway in 1966.
Andre Duffie needs two more Triples to set the record for most Triples in a season. He set the Freshman Record at Delaware with 9 and had 3 in one game vs. Hofstra May 1, 1995.
Triples, Season, Freshman - 9, Andre Duffie, 1995
Triples, Game – 3, Andre Duffie vs. Hofstra, May 1, 1995

BOXSCORE Spreadsheet Available For Teams To Use
Please look at the spreadsheet that I have created for the league to use. Save the spreadsheet to your harddrive and then input your game data. Save the document (Click on the Handout "BOXSCORE" and then click on the file "BOXSCORE" and it will ask you to donload it to your harddrive). I would suggest having the date in the name when you save the games. Always name the file different after each time so you don't lose your data.
Please send the document electronically (Fax or e-mail) to the News Journal, Max Beheler and myself. I can keep the stats current if everyone sends them to me. People complain because we do not have stats completed, but you have to remember that we have to get them to compile them. Send them daily so I can keep up on them.

WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER
WILMINGTON - After many years of changing the face of baseball in upstate Delaware, Bob "Goose" Gildea has been inducted into the Delaware Baseball Hall of Fame.
"It's about time brutha haa, know what I'm sayin' ha . . . . . . this ain't my first rodeo haa, haa!" said Gildea, who has coached the Gildea's Raiders for over a century. "Every year we play an integral part in the preparation of World Championship Major League Baseball teams and they're run for a world title. I mean, if we didn't schedule these teams, know what I'm sayin', I mean they would be in no way be able to adjust for the season, know what I'm sayin' brutha, haa!"
Each season, the Gildea's Raiders make their annual Florida spring training trip and play professional teams to prepare for the season. Several Gildea's players have signed professional contracts during the trip.
"It's all about a good time brutha, haa. It's all about the pride of wearin' that orange shirt daddy," added Gildea. "The orange is legendary with hard nosed ballplayin' and killer times in the Florida sun brutha! The trip is about winning and having a good time daddy, meetin' on the tarmac and rollin' out to play some ball. We don't even worry about practice, we just rip brutha - lock and load, know what I'm sayin' huuuh huuuh!"
"I'm proud to be a part of the hall - truly daddy, I mean I've been to the mall, now I been to the hall, haa! said Goose, who is now enshrined in the hallowed halls of baseball forever.
THIS ARTICLE IS FICTITIOUS IN NATURE (BUT GOOSE WOULD'VE SAID THIS STUFF ANYWAYS) CONGRATULATIONS GOOSE (WE ARE PROUD TO HAVE BEEN A PART OF YOUR LEGEND).
