GDI
The Ducks are proud to offer on-ice goaltending instruction throughout the coming season through Goaltender Development Institute(GDI). GDI is a worldwide goalie school owned and directed by Ian Clark, the Vancouver Canucks Goaltending Consultant.

Ryan Honick is the Regional Manager of GDI Southeast and will direct this year's program. Ryan will be on-ice every other week beginning on September 9th. Ryan is currently the Goaltending Consultant for the ECHL Columbia Inferno (the AA Affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs), and the AYHL Tier 1 Team Maryland. GDI Southeast operates between Delaware and Florida offering camps, specialty clinics, mid-season tune ups, youth association affiliations, and private consulting. More info can be found at www.gdihockey.com. Click here for the the GDI Brochure.

Volunteering
If you are interested in becoming a USA Hockey certified coach (which is mandatory for any adult on the ice or bench,) please contact our Coaching Coordinator, Burt Palmer at Burton.M.Palmer-1@USA.dupont.com. Please be supportive of your Team's Manager....remember they are volunteers and tend to take an awful lot of grief. They continue to scramble around trying to find people to run the clock, keep score, and work the penalty box. Please offer a helping hand when available.... we are always in need of volunteers to run the clock, keep score, penalty box, and assist with coordination of our fund raisers. PLEASE contact your Parent Coordinator to volunteer.

Relax...it's just a game...
Recognizing that aggressive adult behavior is on the rise at youth sporting events....USA Hockey and Hockey Canada have partnered to launch a series of public service announcements targeting parental behavior. Lampooning the overzealous....the radio, TV and print PSA's are clever, witty and designed to encourage parents to think to themselves, Relax, It's Just A Game.

Watching your child play this exciting game can get the best of us at times, so thanks for keeping ALL your comments positive. While your kids give their best effort on the ice, you need to give your best effort in behavior.

  Spring Flings
The M16 Pond Predators, comprised of players from both the M16AA1 and M16AA2 teams, recently completed their Spring tournament season. They opened with a tournament victory at the Spring Fling AAA Tournament in Marlboro, MA. Next was a last minute loss in the finals of the Philadelphia AAA Shoot-Out at Ice Line. The team then travelled to Toronto to compete in the Ronald McDonald AAA Tournament. The team closed out their season with a tournament win in the Gatorade Challenge AAA. Congratulations to the boys on their success in four very difficult tournaments.
M16 Predators

The Squirt Pond Predators, a team with members from all three Squirt teams, is currently in the midst of their tournament season. The team has garnered three Silver medals in the three tournaments they have competed in so far. The team will continue to practice and compete in tournaments throughout the Summer. Good luck for the rest of the season.
