Roller Hockey Rules & Notes
Game Times:
* Your start time is the time listed on the schedule, try to arrive 15 minutes before faceoff. Each game is 2 15 minute stop halves with a 3 halftime. Each team has (1) 60 second timeout per game. There is NO overtime!! Playoff overtime will consist of 5 minute sudden death and then a 3 man shootout.
Tardiness:
Teams that are late for a game will receive 1 delay of game penalty after 5 minutes, 2 delay of game penalties between 6-10 minutes + running the 1st half, 11-14 minutes is 2 delay of game penalties, running the clock for the entire game + paying the ref fees for both teams. After 15 minutes the game will be forfeited.
Rules:
* No Off-Sides
* No Icing
* Cherry picking is encouraged
* Hand pass is permitted in the defensive zone.
Fighting is strictly forbidden. Any punches thrown as an aggressor or in self defense is an automatic season suspension. No refund will be given. Major penalties carry a minimum 3 game suspension. Careless or intentional use of the stick will also be dealt with very harshly.
Rain Outs:
There will be no games played if the rink is wet. If you have any questions please call (412) 366-4777. We will try to notify team captains at least 1 hour before their scheduled game time if the game is cancelled.
Mandatory Equipment
Players 17 and under:
* Helmet designed for hockey
* Full face mask designed for hockey
* Mouth Guard
* Elbow Pads
* Gloves designed for hockey or lacrosse
* Knee & shin protection
Players 18 and over:
* Same as above Except no facial protection or mouth piece.
We do recommend you wear facial protection & a mouth guard.
