The 2008 season for the Battlecats ended Thursday evening at 9th line park when they were knocked out of the playoffs by Glanbrook 4 - 0. Grizzlies ace, Tim Sogan threw 7, no hit innings in shutting out the Cats. All the players and coaches tip their caps to Tim for a great pitching performance.

After a scrambling start to the 2008 year, the players pulled it together and performed admirably under trying conditions at times. A great big thank you goes to coaches, Scott Stephenson and Blake Frost for their committment to the team. We want to thank our sponsors, Geo-Foundations, C.W. Henderson Trucking, TnAs Pub Grub and Spot 1 Restaurant for their generous contributions. As always to our loyal fans who come out and support the team though thick and thin. Thanks to the City of Brampton, Parks and Recreation, for their caring concern throughout the year. To the Brampton Gurardian reporters, Frank Juzenas and Robin Inscoe, thank you for the terrific media coverage you always give us. I hope I haven't forgot anyone but just incase, thanks. Thanks to the Managers and Players of the COBA Major League. You guys are a pleasure to work with. 

Finally, I want to personally thank the Battlecat Players who warmly welcomed me back to the team and who pitched in with organizing practises and fund raisers. I am proud and lucky to be associated with a fine group of guys.

Next year is looking great as the Battlecats will be very strong up and down the lineup.
