Birmingham Junior Lacrosse Registration for the 2009 Season is now open!!

Welcome to Birmingham Junior Lacrosse

Welcome to the Birmingham Junior Lacrosse Webpage.
Boys League for 3-4 graders, 5-6 graders, and 7-8 graders.

Our Mission is to promote and grow the Birmingham Junior Lacrosse program within the Birmingham Public School System.   We are committed to player eduction, skill development and fostering a winning attitude. Players will develop a love for the game, self respect, teamwork and sportsmanship. Birmingham Junior Lacrosse serves as a feeder program for Birmingham Unified Lacrosse.

New For 2008/2009
New for the 2009 season is our optional fall and winter “Bulldog Skill Clinics”. Beginning October 19th your son may attend 13 indoor training clinics with our coaches. The location for these clinics is the Berkshire Middle School Gym. Sunday dates are: Oct. 19, 26 Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23 Dec. 7, 14 Jan. 4, 11, 25 Feb. 1, 8.  Please note due to the Birmingham Public Schools Open House on Nov.2 the Fall clinic for that date will be held at an alternate location to be determined.

Special Registration Note for 3rd & 4th grade Bulldogs: BJL is committed to providing all of its players the opportunity to receive playing time in games.  To accomplish this, BJL is limiting the roster size for each team to 20 players.  BJL would like to have two teams in the 3rd/4th grade level.  This can only be accomplished if enough 3rd and 4th grade players join BJL.  If BJL does not acquire sufficient numbers for a second team, we will limit the registration to 20 players and have only one team at the 3rd/4th grade level, with a waitlist.  This is to follow through on our commitment for each player to have an opportunity for quality playing time in actual games.   Players will earn their playing time in practice through attendance, hard work, demonstrated skill and attitude.

Whether your son is a returning player or new to the game and wants instruction, the Bulldog Skill Clinics are sure to be a hit with all the kids -- especially as our Michigan weather turns cold.

In addition to providing an opportunity to sharpen up those lacrosse stick skills, we are pleased to announce the integration of Mr. Kirk Vickers of Triad Health and Fitness into the fall and winter program. Kirk will be working with the players on the fundamentals of movement and speed training.

It’s Time to Register for Birmingham Bulldog Lacrosse!
