KNIGHTS WIN! ........KNIGHTS WIN!.........KNIGHTS WIN!
London had to give everything they had to knock off the 2nd place Panthers. Sun County bounced back to even the series at 5 points a piece and you would think they had momentum going into the final game. The Knights on the other hand were not about to lie down and let this slip away. London came out hard in this one, but unfortunately allowed Sun County to score a powerplay goal to take the lead. The Knights came back with a powerplay of their own and then scored late in the second to take a 2-1 lead into the 3rd. Sun County came out hard in the 3rd and scored to tie the game at 2 off a wierd bouncing puck. At around the 9 minute mark of the 3rd, Sam Gray stepped in from the blue line and let one rip into the top corner, giving the Knights a 3-2 lead. London tried to hold this lead, icing the puck throughout the next 5 minutes of the 3rd and you could feel that this was not going work for long. Sun County continued to force the play on the Knights and by doing this London took back to back penalties. This gave the Panthers a 5 on 3 advantage with 2:45 left in the game. Sun County then pulled their goalie making it 6 on 3. This backfired as Cam Firth picked up a loose puck a mid ice and scored on the empty net. Knights win this one 4-2 and move to the 2nd round of the playoffs to play either Lambton or Windsor.

Knights Edge Panthers 3-2 in Windsor
London went to Windsor for the 2nd time in 3 nights, determined to take control of the series. London defeated Sun County the previous night in London and with a win in game 3, the Knights would put the Panthers back against the wall. London drew first blood quickly in this contest on a powerplay goal scored by Aaron Dartch. It stayed close until later in the second when Mitch McGuffin tipped a shot by Kyle Stewart from the point. With the score 2-0, going into the 3rd, you knew that Sun County was going to come out flying. They did just that, but Jackson Tiechroeb continued to turn away great scoring opportunities by the Panthers, making huge saves. Sun County did manage to score to reduce the margin to 1 goal. With less than 5 minutes remaing, Cam Downie scored on a powerplay for London to regain the 2 goal cushion. This proved to be an important goal, as Sun County scored with less than a minute to go. This game ended in a 3-2 win for the Knights. The Knights lead this series 5 points to 1. Next game, Friday night, January 26, 8:30 @ Stronach Arena.
