Welcome to the '92 AFC Lightning White Website
We are a U-15 girls soccer team located in Fayetteville, Georgia. We will be competing in the U-15 R3PL division this Fall. We endeavor to achieve success both on and off the field.
We are pleased to announce the good fortune of having Coach David Chadwick at the helm for Fall 2005. Chaddy has been with AFC Lightning since 1990 as Director of Coaching and Technical Director. He played over 300 games in the English Football League from 1960-74 and 150 games in the North American Soccer League from 1974-78. He then coached professionally in the NASL with Ft. Lauderdale Strikers and Atlanta Chiefs- winning back to back Division titles.Turning his talents to the Amateur and Youth game in Atlanta, he coached the Datagraphic Men’s Amateur team to the Men’s Amateur Championship in 1995. Since arriving at AFC Lightning, he has been to the Nationals 4 times, winning the first every National Championship in Georgia Youth Soccer history with the AFC Lightning 1980 gold team.For his distinguished career, he was inducted into GSSA’s “Hall of Fame “ in 2002. He currently is on the United States National Coaching staff and holds a USSF “A” Licence and the English Full Badge.
