Accomplishments 2007/2008:
As American Athletics:
* 2008 Region 6 National Qualifier Champions - Germantown, TN.
* Finished 5th out of 72 teams at 2008 ASA So Cal States.
* Finalist - 2008 Nemesis Elite Valentines Tournament
As California Cruisers:
* Going 6 - 1 at the Midwest Region National Qualifier and qualifying for 2007 ASA Nationals in Normal, Illinois.
* Qualifying for the 2007 Pacific Coast Region National Qualifier by placing 13th at SO Cal State.
* Winning the 2007 Triple Crown Quicksilver Memorial Day Classic and qualifying for the Triple Crown World Series.
* Placing 3rd at the 2007 Fresno Force Classic.
* Qualifying for the 2007 USSSA World Series by finishing 2nd at the Derald Adair Classic.
Mission Statement:
In January 2008 the California Cruisers reformed as the American Athletics.
Our core players are strong and experienced and our team parents are hard working, supportive and FUN!!
The American Athletics Girls Fastpitch Softball Club was founded by Jim Bollinger in 1994 for the sole purpose of developing and showcasing the best softball talent in Southern California to college coaches and scouts seeking to sign players to athletic scholarships. Our organization emphasizes hard work, commitment and dedication both athletically and academically. We take pride in equipping our athletes with the skills necessary to compete at the collegiate level.
We are committed to playing a competitive schedule, and we have qualified for ASA Nationals in Midland, TX, 2008. Our varsity coaching staff and certified conditioning expert are very experienced in developing the essential skills of softball, as well as improving the speed, strength and overall conditioning level of each player.
We are looking for committed, coachable athletes, that strive to improve and learn the value of teamwork.
